Russell EMPulse is an initiative focused on promoting dialogue between emerging market leaders and institutional investors.
Russell EMPulse produces reports that highlight investors' perceptions about key components of the investment climate in major emerging markets. These findings are based on interviews conducted with leading international money management firms. Each report typically includes the views of 50 money managers, representing firms with combined assets under management of approximately US$5-7 trillion.
The reports are a Russell Investments publication, originally developed for use by Russell 20-20. Three to five reports are generated each year summarizing the aggregate perceptions of the investors interviewed across 12 categories.
Questions for continuing dialogue are included in the reports to facilitate discussions with leading members of the government and the private sector. These questions play an integral part in guiding panel discussions during Russell 20-20 delegation visits.
International investors are given an opportunity to:
Present concerns anonymously to emerging market governments and business leaders
Receive timely government responses to their perceptions
Use the report in their own discussions with government and business leaders in the featured country
Government and business leaders in emerging market countries are given an opportunity to:
View and respond to a summary of the perceptions of leading international money managers
Communicate plans for addressing investors' concerns
Russell 20-20 delegations receive:
Focused and detailed exchanges with government and business leaders in emerging market countries
Immediate feedback through panel discussions based on the report content
Guidelines for Use of Russell EMPulse Reports Russell EMPulse reports are confidential and proprietary. Russell Investments designated recipients are authorized to use the report for internal purposes and in private meetings with representatives of the featured country's government and private sector. The reports should not be distributed further without prior consent of Russell.
